Man shot by KCK police after gunbattle

? Police officers shot and killed a man after a chase that began when the officers witnessed a rolling gunbattle between at least two cars.

Kansas City, Kan., police Capt. John Cosgrove says narcotics officers from Kansas City, Mo., were part of a federal task force working Thursday night in Kansas City, Kan. The officers and federal agents saw the gun battle and gave chase for more than two miles.

Cosgrove says 18-year-old Anthony D. Clemons of Kansas City, Kan., jumped out and pointed his gun at officers, who fired, killing him.

Kansas City, Kan., police were not involved in the shooting. But they stopped a second vehicle and arrested two people. Cosgrove says officers are looking for a third car that may have been involved in the initial gunbattle. No officers were hurt.
