Good hosts

To the editor:

On behalf of The Kansas Leadership Center, its board of directors, faculty, staff and coaches, I’d like to thank the city of Lawrence for its hospitality during our annual Guiding Coalition Retreat there earlier this month.

Our retreat is a critical time for us. After a year in which we introduce 800 to 1,000 Kansans to our leadership theories and principles designed to help Kansans create a healthier, more prosperous state, our retreat helps us frame our efforts and plan future initiatives.

We couldn’t have asked for a better setting.

The Kansas University campus offered a scenic backdrop for our morning “fun run/walk,” and we enjoyed our night out on the town at a local restaurant.

When you’re a good host, people hate to leave and can’t wait to return. It sure looks as though you’ll be stuck with us for some of our future meetings.
