Wichita teen pleads no contest in Thanksgiving double homicide

? A Kansas man has pleaded no contest to second-degree murder in the shooting deaths of a Wichita couple who were killed on Thanksgiving 2009.

Eighteen-year-old Sam Holton entered the plea Wednesday in the deaths of Adrian Jackson and Jessie Foust in their Wichita home. He also pleaded to aggravated robbery.

If the judge accepts the plea, Holton would serve 13 years in prison.

The plea deal came after Sedgwick County District Judge David Kaufman last week threw out evidence and a confession, saying Wichita police entered Holton’s house in Mulvane without permission or a search warrant.

Jackson and Foust’s children, ages 4 and 1, were in the home but unharmed. They apparently spent a night with their parents’ bodies before they were found by a relative.
