Full beer keg stolen from outside of a Lawrence apartment

A weekend party at a Lawrence apartment likely didn’t go exactly as planned after a beer keg was stolen.

A 24-year-old Kansas University student reported to Lawrence police Saturday night that someone had stolen the full keg he had placed outside, said Sgt. Matt Sarna, a police spokesman.

It happened between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. at an apartment in the 4300 block of West 24th Place near Clinton Parkway and Inverness Drive.

Sarna said the man had put the keg outside the apartment to help it cool before a party. He went outside later and discovered the keg was gone.

According to the police report, the keg was valued at $175.
