KU history professor awarded $7,500 Kemper Fellowship
Kansas University assistant history professor Nathan Wood became the latest faculty member to earn a $7,500 Kemper Fellowship on Monday.
The fellowships recognize outstanding teachers and advisers, and are determined by a seven-member committee.
They have been awarded for 15 years, and are funded by the William T. Kemper Foundation and with matching funds from KU Endowment.
A “surprise patrol” of KU leaders has been awarding the fellowships since classes began last week. Four more awards are scheduled to be handed out this year.
