Topeka ? About 400 people attended funeral services for three young sisters killed last week in a crash in northern Kansas.

Eight-year-old Katelynn Danielle Spencer and 5-year-old Alissa Ruthann Spencer died July 28 at the scene of the crash outside their hometown of Meriden. Another sister, 4-year-old Madelynn Nicole Spencer, died July 29 at a Kansas City hospital.

The girls’ mother, Stephanie Spencer was driving the car and was seriously injured in the accident.

The funeral for the children was Saturday in Topeka. So many people attended that many had to stand.

Afterward, three white caskets with floral sprays were taken from the funeral home to three awaiting hearses. The girls were buried in Meriden.
