Bike helmets to be given out before game
Children will have a chance to get a free bike helmet at an event before Kansas University’s spring football game Saturday.
The city of Lawrence and other sponsors will host the 2010 Helmet Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in lot 91 at the KU campus. The lot is just southeast of Memorial Stadium between the practice fields and the Spencer Museum of Art.
Children must be present to receive the bike helmet to ensure that it is fitted properly. In addition to the helmet giveaway, the event will include a bike rodeo and games.
