Sara French

Age: 23.

Sign: Leo.

Hometown: McPherson.

Time in Lawrence: Almost six years.

Occupation: fashion design student and bartender.

What were you doing when scouted? Playing Frisbee with my roommate’s dog, Tanner.

How would you describe your style: Mostly, I just wear what I like, but I like to dress up. I typically mix vintage clothing with newer pieces.

Favorite fashion trends: I like statement jewelry, true waistlines and mixing prints; however, I think people look best when they don’t follow fashion trends but instead just wear what they like and what looks good on them.

Least favorite fashion trends: Sloppy dressers and girls that can’t walk in their high heels.

What would you like to see more of in Lawrence? I’d like to see more locally owned businesses and more vintage shops with better selections.

What would you like to see less of in Lawrence? Chain stores and pretty old buildings being torn down to make new buildings.

Who are your fashion influences? I don’t have a specific fashion influence, but I do get inspiration from the ’40s and ’50s dress featured in old movies.

People say I look like: My sister, Bri, and Kirsten Dunst.

Tell us a secret: I skipped class today!
