• Henrys’ Plant Farm in western Douglas County is hosting free workshops in April. The workshops are Vegetable Gardening, 2:30 p.m. today; and Container Gardening, 2:30 p.m. April 18 and April 25.

• Lou & Co Hair Studio opened March 1. On Earth Day, the studio will be in South Park offering free stress relieving treatments and $1 hand massages to help raise $800 for the Audubon Society.

• KU Credit Union will conduct a “Shred Fest” from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at its South branch, 2221 W. 31st St. Everyone is invited to bring old documents and computer discs to have them securely shredded.

• The Kansas Women Attorneys Association will host its Power and Light Career Development Seminar from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the offices of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP, 1201 Walnut, Suite 2900, in the Power and Light District of downtown Kansas City, Mo. • TherapyWorks, 1311 Wakarusa Drive, will host a free seminar at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the center. The seminar will include information about causes of and treatments for foot pain and will be presented by Cindy Johnson, owner and physical therapist, and Dr. Lawrence Gaston, a podiatrist.

• More than 20 Baker University alumni and area employers will share their experiences at Baker’s annual Career Exploration Fair from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Collins Gym on the Baldwin City campus.
