One person flown to area hospital after car-motorcycle accident on turnpike
One person was flown to an area hospital after a car-motorcycle accident on the Kansas Turnpike in Lawrence.
The accident happened about 8 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the turnpike, near the West Lawrence exit, or milepost 202.
According to an alert sent by the Kansas Turnpike Authority, the accident was in the eastbound lanes and was limited traffic in both directions. By 8:30, westbound traffic was moving again and by 9:15, all traffic was able to get through the scene.
A spokesperson for the Kansas Turnpike Authority said troopers were working to gather information regarding the incident.
