ID of train-truck crash victim released

? The name of a man killed in a train-truck collision in Kansas has been released.

Butler County authorities said the victim was 60-year-old Ronald L. Langhofer of Cassoday.

Sheriff Craig Murphy says Langhofer died Wednesday night near Cassoday when he drove in front of a freight train.

Members of the train crew told investigators the pickup was sitting by the side of the road as the train approached the intersection while traveling at about 55 mph.

The crew says the truck drove onto the tracks in front of the train when the lead engine was about 500 feet from the crossing.

Murphy said Friday that investigators are still reviewing information in the case.
