James S. Starett, SRA, joined Keller & Associates Inc., 120 E. Ninth St., Suite 201, effective Aug. 11. Starett moved from Baytown, Texas, where he had owned his own appraisal firm since 2003. He has been in the appraisal business since 1999, with experience appraising residential property, vacant land and many high-end properties. Starett is also licensed for FHA and VA appraisals with experience in each area. He has earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management and a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing. In 2008, he earned the SRA designation from The Appraisal Institute.

Keller & Associates has provided appraisals in Lawrence and surrounding areas since 1996.
