A 19-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Monday afternoon in connection with an incident from June 19.

According to arrest logs, James McAdams was arrested by Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies about 4:30 p.m. Monday for criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied dwelling or vehicle.

Police said he fired shots at a 20-year-old Kansas City, Mo., man just before 2 a.m. June 19, after a robbery attempt near 24th Street and Murphy Drive, southeast of 23rd and Iowa streets. No injuries were reported. McAdams’ bail was set at $10,000.
