Seniors who are considering or actively seeking work can get a step up by attending the Senior Employment Expo, organized by Douglas County Senior Services inc.

The expo will include a job fair and workshops geared toward people who are 55 and older. It is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Lawrence Senior Center, 745 Vt.

The event will include workshops running concurrently at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.:

• “The New Basics,” presented by Jan Stewart, of Office Helpline.

• “You Reinvented,” presented by Jeannine Wyatt, of Express Employment Professionals.

The expo also will include grilled hot dogs, chips and drinks as part of “Lunch on the Lawn,” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
