The Community Blood Center is having a blood drive Sept. 28 at Perry-Lecompton High School.

The center provides blood services to 75 hospitals in Kansas and Missouri and must collect 580 pints daily to maintain the three-day inventory that hospitals depend on.

The drive will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at the high school, 404 Lecompton Road in Perry. It is open to area residents and high school students at least 16 years old.
