Parks and Rec seeks public input
Lawrence Parks and Recreation leaders will be host to a trio of meetings to gather input about improvements to the city’s parks and recreation system. Meetings are set for:
• 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 at Lawrence High School cafeteria, 1901 La.
• 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 5 at Free State High School commons area, 4700 Overland Drive.
• noon to 1:15 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Community Building, Rooms 1 and 2, 115 W. 11th St.
At each meeting, staff members will present information about various indoor and outdoor facility needs that have been identified. Audience members will be asked to complete a survey ranking various needs and also will be able to make suggestions about projects the department should pursue.
