Fund established for historical society

The Martha Parker Curator Endowment Fund has been established for the Clinton Lake Historical Society.

Parker, who has worked for decades to try to preserve the history of the Wakarusa River Valley, established the endowment fund to help maintain a curator position for the Wakarusa River Valley Heritage Museum.

Parker was recently honored by the Lawrence Sertoma Club with the Service to Mankind Award.

Contributions to the endowment can be mailed to treasurer Dale Brueggeman, 1047 E. 251 Diagonal Road, Lawrence, KS 66047.
