Bishop Seabury students collecting food this week

Bishop Seabury Academy’s annual food drive kicks off this week, and students hope to collect at least 4,000 nonperishable food items for this year’s event.

The school’s high school students will end the weeklong food drive by volunteering at the Lawrence Community Shelter and camping outside the school Sunday night.

The drive will benefit Trinity Food Pantry, Lawrence Community Shelter, Ballard Center and the Salvation Army. Some items asked for include canned vegetables, boxed dinners, peanut butter and other nonperishable food items, as well as toilet paper, paper towels and blankets.

Donations can be made during office hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the school, 4120 Clinton Parkway. Items can also be dropped off in front of the school on Sunday any time. Students will be there collecting items that day starting at 4 p.m.

The drive ends Nov. 23.
