Tech group to learn about cloud computing

Clint Batman, president of ThinkGeo LLC, Lawrence, will discuss cloud computing during the December meeting of the Lawrence Technology Association.

The luncheon meeting is set for 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 2 at Scarlet Orchid, 2223 La. Cost is $10 for association members, and $12 for others.

Batman plans to explain cloud computing — Internet-based use and development of computer technology — and how his company has used such technology at ThinkGeo.

Batman’s presentation will cover both benefits and limitations of cloud computing as compared with traditional computing models, and address various providers, how the landscape is changing rapidly and the future of such computing.
