A 28-year-old Lawrence man reported Thursday the theft of personal belongings from a residence in the 3300 block of Creekwood Drive.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Susan Hadl, the man was asleep in the upper level of his home when the incident occurred.

Between 1 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Thursday someone damaged a window screen on the residence, reached through and stole items off a table near the window. Among the items taken were the man’s wallet and keys.

The incident was classified as an aggravated burglary because the man was at home asleep when the incident occurred.
