Trail Hawks Trail Runs

Lawrence’s original trail — and ultra- — running club, the Lawrence Trail Hawks, hosts two weekly beginner-friendly trail runs on the scenic trails along the Kansas River. The Beginner’s Trail Run, Mondays, and the women-only “Gal Gallop,” Thursdays, meet at 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot at Second and Locust in North Lawrence, across the street from the Lawrence visitor’s center. The noncompetitive group runs, usually between two and six miles, are open to participants of all ages and skill levels. There’s no charge to participate.
