KU to celebrate Hemenway’s chancellorship with May event

An event is planned at the Lied Center to celebrate Kansas University Chancellor Robert Hemenway’s 14 years of leadership at KU.

Scheduled for 3 p.m. May 2, the event, called “Hats Off to Chancellor Bob Hemenway,” is free and open to the public and no RSVP is required.

Hemenway announced in late 2008 that he would step down from his position this summer to pursue teaching and writing.

The KU Endowment Association has set up a Web page for donations honoring Hemenway in support of general university scholarships at kuendowment.org/chancellor.
