Francisco and Holland honored not missing any votes in latest legislative session

State Sens. Marci Francisco, D-Lawrence, and Tom Holland, D-Baldwin City, were recognized for not missing any votes for the 2009 legislative session.

“In a citizen Legislature such as ours in Kansas, legislators have families, jobs and other obligations in addition to their legislative work. Sen. Francisco’s perfect voting record attests to the tireless effort she has made to represent her community effectively,” said Senate Democratic Leader Anthony Hensley of Topeka.

In her five years in the Legislature, Francisco has never missed a day, Hensley said.

Hensley also praised Holland, saying, “In his first term, Sen. Holland has provided a strong, consistent voice for the people of Douglas, Jefferson and Leavenworth counties. I am confident he will be a leader in the Senate for years to come.”
