• A 25-year-old Lawrence woman was arrested Wednesday night on charges of theft, battery, prostitution and aggravated burglary. According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office booking log, the arrest was related to a report filed September 4, 2008. The report was filed by a 31-year-old Lawrence man and a 21-year-old Lawrence woman. The incident occurred at 10:20 p.m. September 4 in the 1700 block of West 24th Street.

• A 48-year-old Lawrence woman was arrested Wednesday morning on charges of aggravated assault. According to police reports, the arrest was made in connection with an assault reported March 7. The reported assault, which involved a knife, occurred at 10:05 p.m. at 1004 N. Third St. The victim, a 49-year-old Lawrence man, suffered minor injuries. The woman was arrested at 5:50 a.m. and booked on $5,000 bond.

• A 55-year-old Oskaloosa man was transported Tuesday afternoon to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for back injuries after a two-car accident. The injured man was a passenger in a car that was rear-ended while traveling northbound on Iowa Street near Princeton Boulevard about 12:50 p.m. No one else involved in the accident reported an injury.
