Manhattan ? Kansas State University says the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the head of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will give the school’s Landon Lectures this fall.

Adm. Michael G. Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will give the first Landon Lecture of the school year on Monday, Aug. 31.

Sheila C. Bair, chairwoman of the FDIC — and a native of Kansas and Kansas University graduate — will present her Landon Lecture on Monday, Nov. 2.
