Waterline work may inconvenience motorists near 23rd and Louisiana streets

Motorists and a few residents near 23rd and Louisiana streets should expect to be inconvenienced by waterline work on Wednesday.

City crews will be replacing a waterline as part of a construction project in the area. The work will reduce eastbound traffic on 23rd Street to one lane from Tennessee Street to Barker Avenue.

Some residents in the area also will be without water service for part of Wednesday. The city on Monday notified 52 homeowners in the area and 24 tenants of the Kentucky Court apartments that their water service would be affected.

The work is expected to be completed on Wednesday.
