Capitol Federal makes changes to its board

John C. “Jack” Dicus, Capitol Federal Financial chairman, announced his retirement during the annual meeting Jan. 14 after 50 years of service. He also announced John B. Dicus will assume the role of chairman and continue as president and chief executive officer. As chairman emeritus, Jack Dicus will continue to serve as part of the Capitol Federal management team and as a trustee for Capitol Federal Foundation.

John Dicus earned a Master in Business Administration from Kansas University in 1984. He joined Capitol Federal in 1985, having served as branch manager, branch coordinator and Corporate Services executive vice president. In 1996, he was elected president of Capitol Federal and CEO in 2002.

John B. Dicus also announced the election of M. Jack Huey to the board of directors for Capitol Federal Financial. Huey serves as executive vice president and chief lending officer for Capitol Federal Savings Bank and president of Capitol Funds Inc.; he joined the bank in 1991.
