Weed control options for farmers discussed

Farmers are invited to an educational agronomy meeting, “Life Without Glyphosate — Weed Control Options” at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at Heritage Tractor Inc. in Baldwin City.

The evening will begin with the use of a new interactive computer technology that offers responses on remote clickers to various questions about the weed control programs and the current status of glyphosate resistance in the area.

Dallas Peterson, Kansas State University extension specialist in weed science, will lead a discussion on “Weed Control Options for Soybeans.”

Doug Shoup, southeast area extension specialist for crops and soils, will discuss “Weed Control Options for Corn.”
