4 found dead in burning house

? The Osage County Sheriff said Monday that four people were found dead in a Scranton house.

The house had been set on fire when officers responded Monday morning, according to a sheriff’s statement. Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office investigators have ruled the cause of the fire as arson.

In a news release, Sheriff Laurie Dunn said the 911 call for the fire at 212 S. Lawrence St. came in at 10:39 a.m., and within 10 minutes officers discovered there were four deceased victims inside — one adult and three juveniles.

The sheriff’s office did not release the identities of the victims, but Dunn said autopsies would be performed to determine the causes of death.
