University Bridge Club announce results of its Jan. 3 meeting. Hosts were Dale and Wanda Kring.

Blue winners were Walt Hicks, first; Donna Gatts, second; Bebe Huxtable, third; Lynn Liebert, fourth; and Marc Kuepker, fifth.

Pink winners were Cora Kuepker, first; Carol Smith, second; JoAnne Kready, third; Jo Anne Hicks, fourth; and Myrna Ikenberry, fifth.

•The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Dec. 31 utilized the Swiss Team format and was directed by Chris Lane. Winners were David Piro and Paul Heitzman, first; Dick Shaffer and Jack Flickinger, second; and Jean Khatib and Ann Thompson tied in third with Clarice Broz and Marilyn Martin, Margrete Hartman and Barbara Figgins, and Virginia Seaver and Chris Lane.

The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Jan. 2 was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Klee Zaricky and Shirley Reese, first in A and B; Grant Sutton and Craig Huneke, second in A and B; Sally Taylor and Yvonne Hedges, third in A and B; and Lois Clark and Catherine Blumenfeld, first in C.

The East-West winners were Carol Ball and Nita Scales, first in A, B and C; Mark Osborn and Gary Joyce, second in A and B; and Bobby Patton and Eleanor Patton, third in A and second in C.

The Sunday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Jan. 4 was directed by Chris Lane. Winners were Virginia Hamilton and Adelaide Hanna, first in A and B; Bobby Patton and Eleanor Patton, second in A and B; Florine Creek and Virginia Seaver, third in A; and Ann Thompson and Chris Lane, fourth in A.

The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Jan. 5 was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South winners were John Fittell and Kent McCullough, first in A and B; Clyde Romer and Steven Phelps, second in A and B; Lois Clark and Shirley Reese, third in A; and Harry Shaffer and Terry Tolar, fourth in A.

The East-West winners were Peter Petillo and Donna Johnson, first in A; Brandon Humpert and Jeremy Martin, second in A, and first in B and C; and Jim Stewart and Emily Foster, third in A, and second in B and C.
