The February arson and burglary trial is scheduled to go forward for a 43-year-old Lawrence man accused of setting his ex-girlfriend’s mobile home on fire last summer.

Attorneys from both sides told District Judge Paula Martin on Thursday during a hearing they were ready for the Feb. 2 trial of Trevor A. Toussaint.

Prosecutors accuse Toussaint of breaking into the southeast Lawrence mobile home of Kimberly Berry on June 10. A fire investigator has testified that the home in Harper Woods mobile home park, 2200 Harper St., caught fire after gasoline was poured in a bedroom and into the hallway.

Fire investigators ruled the blaze was intentionally set. Toussaint’s defense attorney, Charles Whitman, has said he would hire an independent investigator in the case.

Berry lived at the home at the time with two of her children.
