Topeka ? State transporation officials say they have plenty of projects ready to go when the federal stimulus plan is approved in Washington.

Officials said Thursday they have some 230 projects on their list but that will be reduced after they find out exactly how much money the state will get for transporation projects. They said the state could get between $317 million and $401 million.

There are about $1.2 billion of proposed projects on the list, including $655 million worth of projects they have under contract in 180 days and another $700 million ready within a year.

The $789 billion economic stimulus legislation is on track for a final vote in Congress. It includes $46 billion for transporation projects.
