It’s not unanimous, but Jayhawks stay atop both polls

Texas grabs three first-place votes in coaches poll

The Kansas men’s basketball team remains atop both college basketball polls.

The Jayhawks received 52 of 65 first-place votes in the Associated Press poll and 28 of 31 first-place votes in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll. Last week, KU earned all 31 first-place votes in the coaches poll.

Other Big 12 teams in the rankings include Texas (No. 2 AP/No. 2 coaches), Kansas State (12/12) and Texas Tech (20, 24). KU’s Jan. 2 opponent, Temple, also is ranked 18th in the AP and 19th in the coaches poll.
