Probation, restitution ordered in animal case
A Lawrence man was sentenced to probation Tuesday for animal cruelty.
Peter Yellowbird, 29, pleaded no contest in Douglas County District Court to one count of animal cruelty, following an arrest in November 2008.
Under the terms of his probation, Yellowbird can’t violate the law or possess any animals, prosecutors said. He was also ordered by Judge Sally Pokorny to pay $3,107 in restitution.
