Jeanie Hetrick, general manager of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 3411 Iowa, was promoted to ZMC Hotels area manager. As area manager, Hetrick will be responsible for supervising the Comfort Suites and the Holiday Inn Express, both in Independence, Mo. She will continue to serve as general manager of the Lawrence Holiday Inn Express, where she will be responsible for all phases of the hotel’s operations and management of personnel.

Hetrick has been the general manager of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites since 2001.

ZMC Hotels, in business since 1972, manages the Holiday Inn Express in Lawrence along with 31 other hotel and tourism operations in 12 states with 1,200 employees.
