Farmers’ market takes holiday turn

Lawrence area residents have been working like elves in preparation for today’s annual Holiday Farmers’ Market.

About 55 vendors will be offering a variety of crafts and homemade goodies from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2206 E. 23rd St.

Among the offerings will be poinsettias, candles, lotions, holiday decor, wool hats, scarves, jams, pies and breads. Also, local farmers will have fresh produce and meats available.

The event will include live entertainment by several bands, and vendors will be selling refreshments.
