Over the Rainbow Doll Club met Dec. 5 for its annual Christmas Tea at the home of Christine Fritzell. Members participated in a gift exchange and brought donations for Just Food and for Warm Hearts. The January Project Sewing Day was discussed and specifications were decided on for the project, including instructions for sewing, knitting and construction technique.

The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Dec. 2 was directed by Chris Lane. North-South winners were Mark Osborn and Gary Joyce, first in A and B; Grant Sutton and Catherine Blumenfeld, second in A and B; Margarete Hartman and Virginia Johnston, third in A and B and first in C; and Ed Howard and Polly Schoning, fourth in A.

East-West winners were Shari Krentzel and Bob Huffman, first in A and B; David Piro and Paul Heitzman, second in A; Ann Thompson and Dick Shaffer, third in A, second in B and first in C; and Judy Bevan and Barbara McCorkle, fourth in A, third in B and second in C.

The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Dec. 4 was directed by Virginia Seaver. North-South winners were Jack Flickinger and Dick Shaffer, first in A, B and C; John Oxley and Elizabeth Jankord second in A; Larry Weatherholt and Steven Vossler, third in A; Lester Dalton and Mary Fenlon, fourth in A; Barbara McCorkle and Virginia Johnston tied for second in B and C with Bobby Patton and Eleanor Patton.

East-West winners were Charles Hedges and Virginia Eddy, first in A and B; Lois Clark and Catherine Blumenfeld, second in A and B and first in C; Ed Howard and Mark Osborn, third in A; Judy Hildreth and Dianne Childs, fourth in A; and Barbara Figgins and Marilyn Martin, third in B and second in C.

The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s on Dec. 7 game was directed by Virginia Seaver. North-South winners were Larry Weatherholt and Steven Vossler, first in A; John Fittell and Mark Osborn, second in A and first in B; Lois Jones and Vince Nordberg, third in A; and Robert Huffman and Margrete Hartman, second in B.

East-West winners were Eldon Herd and Jerry Sloan, first in A; Paul Heitzman and James Masilamani, second in A; Bill Allen and Ed Howard, third in A; and Emily Foster and Jim Stewart, first in B.
