NaNoWriMo contest winners announced

The Journal-World has selected the two winners of our first National Novel Writing Month competition. Jason Arnett is the grand prize winner, and will receive five bound copies of his finished novel, titled “OverTime.” John Bond won second place for his novel, “Dream Solver,” and will receive a $100 Downtown Lawrence gift certificate.

Both winners were randomly selected from 13 entrants who submitted a 50,000-word novel to the Journal-World in conjunction with National Novel Writing Month. The annual event challenges participants to write a 50,000-word novel entirely in the month of November.

Look for an upcoming feature article in Pulse on both writers and their novels.
