ECKAN will be host to the fourth annual Mayors & Players Turn It On! event from 5 p.m. to midnight Friday at Johnny’s Tavern West, 721 Wakarusa Drive.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Turn It On!, a local program that has provided one-time utility assistance for 84 households in Douglas County since 2006.

The event will feature coaches and players from Kansas University and Free State and Lawrence high schools, a disc jockey, as well as current and former mayors and city officials. In addition to some games and music, attendees can enter for a chance to win, among other items, two KU men’s basketball tickets to a game of the winner’s choice.
