Board announces CPA exam candidates

The Kansas Board of Accountancy has announced 53 candidates who have successfully passed the computerized examination in the July/August exam window.

Area candidates include Ryan Robinson, Bonner Springs; Darin Olivarez, Lawrence; and Lindsey Moore, Tecumseh.

As of October, 10,954 individuals have been issued CPA certificates, of which 3,706 hold active permits to practice.

Passage of the national examination is the first step in becoming a certified public accountant.

To be eligible to receive a permit to practice, an experience requirement must first be met.
