A 26-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Sunday on charges of indecent liberties with a child.

The man is accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl.

Police responded to the report of a sexual assault at 6:09 a.m. Sunday in east Lawrence. Police apprehended the suspect at the scene.

The man was booked into the Douglas County Jail without bond at 9:34 a.m.
