Sebelius to deliver Harvard commencement address

Gov. Kathleen Sebelius has been chosen to give the commencement address to graduates of Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government June 3.

Government school dean David T. Ellwood said in a news release that Sebelius is “a model for our students of public service.” He praised the governor’s work to improve Kansas schools and support the state’s business climate while balancing the state budget.

Sebelius is awaiting Senate confirmation as secretary of health and human services in President Barack Obama’s administration.
