Zach Mehl led the Free State High track team with a first-place finish in the boys pole vault on Friday at the KT Woodman Invitational. Mehl vaulted 12-6 feet to win the event.

The Firebirds’ second-place finishers were Harrison Scheib in the boys 1,600 (4:41.49), Chloe Porter in the girls 400 (1:04.40), Chase Hoag in the boys 400 (52.44) and Drue Davis in the girls elite 200 (26.89).
