KU panel to discuss sustainability’s effect

A panel of three experts will deliver a lecture on sustainability later this month at Kansas University.

Daniel Arneman, Asheen Phansey and Kevin Stack will discuss “biomimicry,” which looks for positive financial, social and environmental benefits from the natural environment.

Arneman is the principal carbon strategist for the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Phansey is the president of Quaking Aspen LLC in Burlington, Mass., and deals with materials, processes and business models required to achieve sustainable growth.

Stack is owner and president of Northeast Green Building Consulting in Syracuse, N.Y., a design and building consulting firm.

The lecture starts at 7 p.m. April 20 at Spahr Engineering Classroom in Eaton Hall.
