Baldwin City

Ken Wagner will be the new Baldwin City mayor, taking more than half of the votes in the race.

Bonnie Plumberg received the most votes for Baldwin City Council, with 359. Tom Farmer edged out Chris Nichols by seven votes to take the second seat.

Ruth Barkley, Bill Busby and Ande Parks will serve on the Baldwin City school board. They all ran unopposed.

Eudora

Scott P. Hopson was elected Eudora mayor with 59 percent of the votes. He defeated incumbent Mayor Tom Pyle.

Incumbent William J. Whitten and newcomer Tim Reazin will sit on the Eudora City Council.

Michael Kelso, Eric Votaw and Keith Nowland will take seats on the Eudora school board.

Tonganoxie

Incumbents Jason Ward and Jim Truesdell were successful in their bids for re-election to the Tonganoxie City Council, each with about 24 percent of the vote. Burdel Welsh took the third seat with around 22 percent.

Dan Hopkins was unopposed in his run for the district’s fourth school board seat. Kay Smith and Kris Grinter were elected to seats five and six, respectively.

Lecompton

Roy Paslay was elected Lecompton mayor, running unopposed. Mark L. Tunstall and Tim J. McNish were elected to Lecompton’s two available city council positions. They were the only candidates on the ballot.

Basehor

Former Basehor City Council member Terry Hill won a tight race to be the city’s mayor, nabbing nearly 53 percent of the vote.

Basehor’s elected city councilmen are Dennis Mertz and David Breuer, who both ran unopposed.

Basehor-Linwood school board positions four through six were filled by Wynne Coleman, Richard Zamora and Gary Johnson.
