KU library book sale set for this week

A Kansas University library book sale scheduled to run from Tuesday through Thursday will focus on art-related books and magazines.

The sale is open to the public Wednesday and Thursday, while on Tuesday, materials will be available only to patrons with a KU identification card.

Hardcover books will be $3, paperbacks $1 and magazines will be 25 cents each or five for $1.

On the last day of the sale, bags of books and magazines will be sold for $5.

Proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase new books and electronic resources for the libraries, and unsold books will be donated to Books for Africa, a nonprofit organization dedicated to African literacy programs.
