Agriculture futures rose Thursday. Wheat for May delivery jumped 25 cents to $5.505; May corn rose 6.5 cents to $4.025; May oats gained 7 cents to $1.975; and May soybeans advanced 25 cents to $9.77. Beef and pork futures also traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. June live cattle rose 1.63 cents to 83 cents; May feeder cattle edged up 1.7 cents to 95.65 cents; June lean hogs gained 0.65 cent to 72.1 cents; and May pork bellies rose 0.8 cent to 87.8 cents.
