The city will take input during a public meeting Monday about planning improvements to 31st Street from Haskell Avenue in southeastern Lawrence to Route 1057 or East 1900 Road in the county.

The open house will be 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Building 21 at Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper Street.

City and county leaders are developing a corridor plan for 31st Street. Goals include looking at how to manage vehicle traffic but also for pedestrians, bicycle riders and preserving environmental natural resources.
