Volunteers needed for children to vote

Local organizers of Kids Voting are in need of volunteers to work on Nov. 4 at numerous polling sites across the city.

Youths who are pre-school to age 17 can participate in Kids Voting on Election Day. They can vote at most Douglas County polling places from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Several hundred volunteers have helped in years past.

Kids Voting is a national program to educate youth about the political process and encourage them to participate in a voting poll that mirrors that of the adults. Contact the Roger Hill Volunteer Center at 865-5030 or info@rhvc.org to volunteer.
