KU professor receives $9.5 million National Institute of Health grant

Jeff Aube, a Kansas University professor of medicinal chemistry, has received $9.5 million in renewed grant funding from the National Institute of Health.

The announcement of the renewal was expected at a ceremony Thursday at a dedication of new areas of the Structural Biology Center on KU’s West Campus.

The five-year grant will be applied to the Kansas University Center for Excellence in Chemical Methodologies and Library Development, an existing pharmaceutical research program.

The grant extends the original $9.5 million awarded in 2003.
